so today was my final radiation!!! after 30 treatments the end has arrived!! i am so excited. This whole journey started at the end of March, so almost 1 year ago and I have finally reached the end of my treatment!!! I am thrilled!!!
I came home to pink party hats and noise makers, flowers, and my new pink ribbon charm for my Pandora bracelet! Kevin and I also went to a favorite restaurant for dinner to celebrate!
So whats next... well I will be starting Tamoxifen in 2 weeks which I will be taking daily for 5 years. I will be seeing my Oncologist every 4 months for several years, my surgeon yearly, my Radiation Oncologist every 4 months, and I will be getting a mammogram or mri every 6 months. wow!! The worst is over and everything else is just icing on the cake!
Stay tuned because my fun journey is just beginning. I have more say, many people to help and lots to do to find a cure!
