New year, new you!

Or should I say, new year, new me! Just wanted to update everyone on where I am and what new pink things have come my way.

Today was radiation treatment number 12!! I have 18 to go. I am almost at the half way point. I am doing great with little side effects.

On Sunday, was my cover girl photo shoot or as Allison dubbed me, "Curly Crawford." It was held at Lace Silhouette's in Peddlers Village.

It was a tremendous experience. There was a total of 7 women, all who have had breast cancer. Two other girls are at the same point as myself with treatment. There was a total of 5 young girls who I just got along great with.

So the first thing was make up! There was a Mary Kay lady there helping us out and teaching us how to correctly apply make up. Then we got to pick anything out to wear at the store. After looking around at all the fancy lingerie and cozy pjs, I went with a black robe that looked just like a wrap dress and a black short night gown under it. Of course we had to complete the look with marabou slippers!

After dressing up was photo time! They had me doing different poses with props and all. The pics really look great and that made me feel good to see something that I am comfortable with right now.

I also told my story to the video guy and then we left with all sorts of goodies!

Lastly, it is almost time to say good bye to "Bella." We can refer to one of my very early posts where I asked for names for my port and Crystal came up with Bella or should I say Port-a-bella! Bella will be removed from my life on January 20th!

2010 is going to be my year!!
