Susan G Komen hosted about 12 women at Mrs G's appliances for a lunch cooking demo. The chef prepared some easy holiday appetizers and we sat around and watched, tasted and chatted. The women that I keep meeting that are affiliated with Komen are amazing women! I really enjoyed getting to know the board president more and love her passion and the things she has done. Each time I see these women, they always greet me with open arms and take me under their wing.
I also am very excited that I was asked and will be trained in January to be a part of the Komen Ambassador Program. During 2010, I will be helping out Komen by either speaking at events, health fairs or wherever they need a volunteer. I think it will be a lot of fun. I am also thinking of signing up to help out with their Spring Ball.
